Important Construction Notice

Effective July 27 - August 21, 2009

Students, Faculty and Staff,

Please be advised, beginning July 27 through August 21, 2009, pathways intersecting the area directly opposite the south side of Hugh Gillis Hall and opposite Martin Luther King, Jr., Library, will be blocked due to construction performed by Facilities, Development & Operations (FD&O).  A map and text version of an alternative accessible route and a truck route (to be avoided) are provided below:

Alternative Accessible Route

• From corner of San Fernando Street and S. 7^th Street, head south onto the path between the Administration and Engineering buildings. 

• At the end of the Administration building, continue heading south, into the path between Clark Hall and Engineering building. 

• Pass the end of Clark Hall building and turn right at SJSU directory booth heading west toward Tower Hall.

• Continue on the path, heading towards Tower Hall.

• Turn left to enter the path between Tower Hall fencing and the grass area.

• At the end of the grass area, turn right to enter the path between Morris Daily Auditorium and Dwight Bentel Hall.

• Turn right at the end of the path towards Tower Hall.

• Turn left at the path in front of Tower Hall’s north entrance.

• At the end of path, turn right towards Martin Luther King, Jr., Library.

Truck Route - to be avoided:

The truck route begins at the corner of E. San Fernando Street and S. 7^th Street, and heads south onto the path between the Administration and Engineering buildings.  At the end of the Administration building, the truck route turns right towards the Instructional Resource Center and onto the path between Clark Hall and Parking Lot 1. The route continues heading south towards the Martin Luther King, Jr., Library, onto the path between Dudley Moorhead Hall and UCAT.  The route continues onto the path between King Library and Hugh Gillis Hall.  Truck route ending point is at 5^th street and San Fernando.
