In April of 2008, the Disability Resource Center celebrated its 30th Annual Awards Recognition Program & Gala Scholarship Fundraiser with the theme “Building Community Today for a More Inclusive Tomorrow.” In celebration of the event, the Employment Accommodations Resource Center (EARC), Human Resources, and Faculty Affairs hosted a workshop called "Employees with Disabilities: Answers to Supervisory Workplace Questions," which featured nationally recognized disability employment law expert, David K. Fram, Esq. The workshop worked to promote awareness of supervisors' important legal responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 when working with employees with disabilities. David K. Fram, Esq., was also featured at the evening Awards Program event as the Keynote Speaker with SJSU Professor Mike Adams as the Master of Ceremonies.
