The Disability Resource Center conceives Civility as synonymous with
a/an:
RESPECT for all persons,
OPENNESS to embracing atypical ways of moving or seeing or
learning,
RECOGNITION that an individual is not his/her disability,
diagnosis, or disorder
REFUSAL to mirror societal prejudice or to construct limits to
one’s abilities because of the presence of disabilities
and,
DIGNITY cultivation through honoring each individual, as an
individual, not a stereotype.

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is a comprehensive center
providing both students and employees with accommodations and services.
The center works closely with faculty/staff to deliver services and
promote access for students with disabilities in the classroom and
throughout the campus.
