Disabled Parking
If you have a verified disability and are seeking temporary disabled parking from the Disability Resource Center (DRC), you should: · Provide current verification of your disability (i.e. medical documentation from your treating professional documenting your condition). For more information on disability documentation requirements, please visit http://www.drc.sjsu.edu/student_services/document_disability.htm. o Disability verification forms are available at the DRC or online at http://www.drc.sjsu.edu/onlineforms.htm · Students and visitors: Visit the DRC office to turn in your disability verification and apply for a temporary disabled parking permit · Employees: Please visit the Employment Accommodations Resource Center (EARC) at http://www.earc.sjsu.edu/parking/index.htm.
Access the Disabled Parking Lot @ 7th St. and San FernandoA key card is necessary to gain access to Lot #1 located at 7th & San Fernando. To apply for a key card, students, faculty and staff must submit an application to Traffic and Parking Operations located in the 7th Street Garage; applications may be obtained in the DRC or at Traffic and Parking Operations. DRC is unable to accept applications or issue keys. If you have not yet obtained an access card, disabled parking is available in Lot 3 (between Engineering and Industrial Studies), in the 7th Street Garage, or the 4th Street Garage. If you have obtained a key card, but the electronic gate malfunctions, or if you have a legitimate need to enter the lot, dial "444" to be connected to the DRC or use the intercom on the gate to contact the University Police Department (UPD).
